All Talkspace providers must primarily reside in the United States.
Providers who are only licensed, insured, or reside outside of the United States are not able to join the Talkspace Provider Network.
Therapist
To participate in the Talkspace Network, all therapists are required to possess the following:
- An active, independent US state board-approved clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PhD in Clinical Psychology, etc.)
- Individual professional malpractice liability insurance policy maintaining coverage limits of $1,000,000/$3,000,000 and in accordance with applicable state insurance requirements and Talkspace established limits
- Submission of a fully completed, signed CAQH application, as well as submission of updated information as required
- Individual NPI number
- Background check (conducted by a third party during onboarding)
- Current residence in the USA
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment to conduct sessions on the Talkspace platform
- Desktop, laptop, and/or iOS device (with a minimum of iOS 14.0)
- Video camera and microphone (if your computer/device has these items built in, that is sufficient as long as they are fully functional)
- Agreement to participate in required orientation and competency training
- Availability to respond to your clients daily to meet their expectations
Note: Talkspace therapists only work with clients in the state(s) where they are licensed and allowed to practice independently
Associate Therapist
To participate in the Talkspace network, all associate therapists are required to possess the following:
- An active, associate clinical license (e.g., LMFTA, LAC, LCSWA, etc.)
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or other behavioral science
- A supervising clinician and/or organization
- Individual professional malpractice liability insurance policy maintaining coverage limits of $1,000,000/$3,000,000 and in accordance with applicable state insurance requirements and Talkspace established limits
- Background check (conducted by a third party during onboarding)
- Current residence in the USA
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment to conduct sessions on the Talkspace platform
- Desktop, laptop, and/or iOS device (with a minimum of iOS 14.0)
- Video camera and microphone (if your computer/device has these items built in, that is sufficient as long as they are fully functional)
- Agreement to participate in required orientation and competency training
- Availability to respond to your clients daily to meet their expectations
