All clinical providers joining the Talkspace network must maintain active, independent professional liability insurance. This coverage must be in place at the beginning of the application process and maintained throughout their clinical practice on the platform.
Talkspace requires an active policy with minimum liability limits of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate. The certificate of insurance (COI) must reflect these amounts and list the clinical provider's name as the primary policyholder.
Provider coverage must be held independently. Liability policies provided through an outside employer, hospital system, or non-Talkspace agency cannot be accepted, as these policies generally do not extend protection to independent tele-health services provided on other platforms.
Please ensure you hold an active individual policy through a licensed professional liability insurance carrier before beginning your Talkspace application, as active coverage is required to be considered for the role.
During the initial application and credentialing stages, you will be prompted to upload a copy of your current Certificate of Insurance. Please verify that your document clearly shows your full legal name, active policy dates, and the required coverage limits ($1M / $3M) to avoid delays in processing your application.
